Charity Shops – Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA)
The Irish Wheelchair Association is one of Ireland’s leading representative organisations and service providers for people with physical disabilities. The were founded on the belief that everyone should be able to live a life of choice and equality. Irish Wheelchair Association has 59 community centres across Ireland and offers a wide range of services and supports for people with physical disabilities.
Charity Shops
Charity Shops are retail stores operated by charitable organisations. They accept donations of second-hand items, such as clothing, furniture, books and household goods from the public. These donated items are then sold at affordable prices to generate funds for the charitable organisation’s cause, whether it be providing aid to those in need, funding research, or supporting local community projects.
Charity shops also provide opportunities, and rely heavily, on volunteers who wish to get involved and contribute to their local community.
